Currently around 1/3 of the Cedar Falls Fire Department has gone through a 12 week CrossFit program. Many of that third still attend the gym regularly and the others do some form of fitness training on their own. I’m sure the statistics for Waterloo Fire Rescue are about the same.
If you are a citizen in either of these communities, or any community for that matter, and you see a firefighter or police officer, stop and ask them what they do on a daily basis to improve their health and fitness. If they can’t answer you right away let them know that you are putting your trust in their abilities to rescue you in an emergency and encourage them to start.
Give them my information and tell them I would love to help them get better as protecting the community that relies on them!!!!

Box jump-45
Run-17
Towel hang-1:05
40 rx 35,35 gold
Towel hang- 22 secs then 15, 10.
Highest boxjump was 26 I think. It was the 2nd box with a thick plate on it. That’s def a mental thing because if there was a fire and someone said the only way out was to jump on the highest one, you bet your ass I’m jumping.
